We know we will make a positive contribution to the lives of all Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders and to all Australians in general. We would like to thank the Federal Government in dealing with and the volunteers that helped with the recent bushfires in the country. Our heartfelt prayers and condolences go out to those who suffered during this devastating time.

 We will help with bushfire management in this Country.  Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders have lived in this country for over 60,000 years. Our Ancestors have managed the land and natural resources. Captain Cook in his journal made mention of fires. In Captain Cook's journal entry of the 23rd of August, 1770, Cook noted the “ Natives of New Holland are far happier than we Europeans”.  It was nice that Captain Cook recognised that the First Nations people existed.

 Today, even after Two Hundred and Fifty Years, after all that has occurred to Indigenous Australian, we are still here and fighting for recognition.

 We will help manage the natural resources of our Continent, as we have nations that cover all Australia. Who knows their nation better than the original inhabitants?  Sustainable management is at the center of our culture. We will work with the Government of the day, as we are working for a better Australia, not only for our Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Family, but all Australians.
